Aquatic-Terrors’ Forum Rules:


1. First and foremost; there is no cursing allowed on AT, except in designated areas. Doing so will get you a warning. After the third warning, you will be removed from existence on AT. Most curse words have been filtered and will appear as asterisks. Do not try and make your way around our bad-word filter by modifying a word that sounds like the intended curse word. This will also cause you to be penalized. Inappropriate usernames are also prohibited.

2. Registering a name with .com, .net, .org, .buzz, or anything else reflecting a website, is strictly prohibited.

3. No spamming the message board. You may post a link to your website in your signature if you wish, only after obtaining permission from the Site Owner or Site Manager. This includes any attempts to spam via our private messenger program. Violators will be dealt with accordingly.

4. Be courteous to others. No flaming or racist remarks of any kind are allowed, including and not limited to race, sex, religion, or national origin. Do not provoke arguments and do not reply to discourteous remarks by others unless you can do it tactfully. You can also report the post and the assigned Moderator to that specific forum will take appropriate action.
Note: Do not join Aquatic-Terrors simply to annoy, bother, harass, or stalk a member of another website. This is not allowed for any member (old or new). An immediate banning will take place.

5. Aquatic Terrors nor its Staff are responsible for the personal views of its members and will not be held liable for derogatory remarks made on their behalf. This being a discussion board, allows members the liberty to voice their opinions, concerns, and views regarding any specific issue.

6. These rules are in effect for all forums. Additional rules in the Buy & Sell and Asylum are posted. Be sure to read the rules and abide by them.

7. You must be a member to post in this forum. Signing in under another members name and posting is prohibited. If you want to post in this forum it is strongly suggested that you join. Multiple usernames originating from the same e-mail account are not permitted.

8. No joining under a false name. Identity theft is illegal and will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to using someone else's image without permission. If you have gained "written" permission, using their image must be accompanied by proper credit to the owner of the copyright material. You will receive only one warning from the staff. The second time you disregard this rule, we will ban your username and IP.

9. The Owner and Staff of Aquatic-Terrors (AT) would like to express concern about any member using this forum as a means to find and contact members of the opposite sex for any reason other then honorable intentions. AT is growing at an astounding rate and though we would like to have all members who join be of the best intentions, we also accept that it’s just not going to happen. This is something we have already seen.
AT is a community of hobbyist and people who share a common interest in fish and all pets. It is not a place to look for girlfriends, boyfriends, sexual partners or anyone for a relationship of any sort other than friendship.
If for any reason another member contacts a member and sexually suggests or makes degrading remarks, that member needs to contact the AT Staff or Owner. Please send a copy of the message that was sent and make sure to tell us who sent it. AT will deal with these kinds of offensives very quickly.
If for any reason a member is found to be offending other members in anyway that is not of honorable intentions that member will be banned from AT and if possible the information turned over to the local authorities in the area the offender lives.
What is “Honorable Intentions”?
Honorable intentions are emailing, personal messaging, or replying to posts in a kind friendly manor. Not making innuendos relating to sex, race, creed or anything that may be considered perverse, not being sexually suggestive or contriving information that is not for public knowledge.

10. No pornography, lewd, or illicit material is allowed on any of the open forums. This is a family oriented site and it will not be tolerated. There are designated forums which this is allowed in, which have been marked "Adults Only". Continued non-compliance after being warned once will result in banning from A-T. Although, we instill a comfortable setting, we prefer avatars not be solely based on a part of the body or show the nipples or private parts on any individual. NO images of the buttocks or breasts alone are permissible. We must consider the youngsters on AT, which we must set an example for.

11. Giving bad advice, and knowingly endangering or neglecting animals will not be tolerated. Any member recognized as doing so, will be banned from AT.

12. Problems encountered with other members need to be directed to the Moderator Group first. There is a Chain-of-Command in place and we use it. If it gets to the upper echelon, I assure you that someone is going to be severely reprimanded and/or removed from Aquatic-Terrors. If you are involved in a flame war in any of the open forums, you could be suspended from Aquatic Terrors for an unspecified period.

13. You agree not to discuss any issues regarding politics or religion. These are sensitive issues which typically result in selfish bickering. We strive to provide the hobbyists, the best experience while sharing the passion.


Disciplinary Actions:

1. A warning by a Moderator and a Private Message indicating the offense. You may be asked to explain your actions so a reasonable solution can be found to resolve the specific issue.

2. A suspension for a period of 24 hours to 72 hours may be given for continued problems. Administrators or Owners will only do this if you are not willing to cooperate with the Moderators’ demands.

3. Banning is our final action when all else has failed. This action is irreversible. It is our belief that if you cause this action to be taken then it is better for the site as a whole that you not be allowed to participate in the forums. The Site Owner and Site Manager are the approving authorities in this action.

We reserve the right to act according to what we feel is in the best interest of the Aquatic-Terrors community as a whole. We reserve the right to suspend or ban any members for any reason we feel harms the peaceful environment we so diligently work on achieving. We are not responsible for any actions taken by members of Aquatic-Terrors in any other forums or websites.
Additionally, the Administration will not be held liable for any copyright infringements regarding the content of any post made by any member of the community, to include images, which you believe to be stolen from another individual or another website. Please be prepared to substantiate your claim, so that we may take appropriate action against the offender(s).
These rules are subject to change without notice. It is your responsibility to read the rules at least monthly.
